The 41st Mayflower General Congress will take place at Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor, 180 Water Street, Plymouth, Massachusetts, September 8-13, 2017. The business meetings of Congress cover two days, Monday and Tuesday, September 11 and 12; if you are a GBOA officer or delegate from your Member Society, do not register for any tours these two days. We are pleased to offer a new venue for our closing banquet, the beautiful Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston. New to this Congress will be an Exhibit Room and Family Society Lounge.

Please keep in mind that:

  • Registration ends on Saturday, August 12, 2017.

  • Registration for tours ends Friday, July 21, 2017.

  • There will be no on-site registration forms accepted at Congress.

Members may pick up their Credentials and Registration Packet at the General Congress Registration Table in the lobby of the Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor on Friday, September 8, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, September 9, from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, September 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and Monday, September 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., just before the convening of the General Congress.

On Sunday, September 10, the Pilgrim Progress will begin at the Mayflower Society House at 2:00 p.m. Costumes will be available there for members, guests and children to dress in Pilgrim attire, and we recommend that you get there an hour early to choose a costume. Participants will walk to Cole’s Hill for a Wreath Laying by the Governor General and the reading of the names of the 51 Mayflower passengers who died during the first winter. The Progress will then continue to the Old Courthouse Square, into the First Parish Meetinghouse for the Opening Ceremonies.

The Congress Welcome Reception will be held on Sunday, September 10 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (immediately following the Opening Ceremonies), in the gardens of the Mayflower Society House.

From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10 the Education Committee will hold a book discussion. The book is Nick Bunker’s Making Haste from Babylon (2010). All are welcome to attend.

The General Board of Assistants will meet at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 10 at the Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor.

The Mayflower General Congress of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants will convene at Plymouth, Massachusetts on Monday, September 11, at 9:00 a.m. in the Ballroom on the main floor of the Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor. This room is air conditioned and handicap accessible with assigned seating for delegates.

Yes. When you go to finalize your registration instead of clicking the PayPal button, click the link below under other payment options.The option to pay by check will appear. You will then need to print your registration form and mail the completed form along with a check or money order payable to "GSMD" by August 12, 2017 to: Triennial Congress 2017, P.O. Box 3297, Plymouth, MA 02361-3297.

  • What are my transportation options for getting to and from Congress?

Members who are flying into Boston’s Logan Airport and do not wish to rent a car at the airport and drive to Plymouth may take the Plymouth-Brockton Bus Line. These buses leave Logan Airport hourly and stop at exit 5, Route 3, at the Visitors Information Center in Plymouth. The Plymouth-Brockton Bus Line may be contacted at (508) 746-0378 or www.p-b.com. Taxi service is available to take you from exit 5 to your hotel or you may call Mayflower Taxi at (508) 747-1702 for service.

If you are flying into T.F. Green Airport, Providence, Rhode Island, you will need to rent a car at the airport or in the nearby surrounding area, as there is no bus service from Providence to Plymouth. There are many car rental agencies available at the airport. Once in Plymouth, car rental agencies are available to those who require the use of a car.

The registration fee is nonrefundable. Tours are subject to cancellation and refundable if reservations are low.
